The Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) will arrange the Women’s World Cup Kabaddi at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
The gala extravaganza will be held from November 15 to November 25. A total of 14 countries will compete in the kabaddi competition.
Bangladesh, Argentina, Chinese Taipei, Germany, Netherlands, Iran, India, Japan, Kenya, South Korea, Nepal, Thailand, Uganda and Zanzibar.
The budget of the mega event has been estimated at Taka 10 crore and 44 lakh. The Bangladesh Government will donate Taka five crore, while rest of the expenditure will be provided by the sponsor organisations.
Marking the upcoming kabaddi competition, a press conference was held at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium in Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Thursday.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Brigadier General Syed Muhammad Motahar Hossain, Executive Director of National Sports Council Kazi Nazrul Islam, Secretary of BKF SM Nawaz Shohag spoke at the press conference.
