BARISHAL: 27 fishermen are detained in a joint operation for illegally catching hilsa in violation of the 22-day fishing ban on the Meghna River. On Monday, the Upazila Administration and Department of Fisheries, with support from the Bangladesh Army, Coast Guard, and Naval Police, conduct the operation on the Meghna River and nearby canals.
