The academic activities at the second building of Shanto-Mariam University were officially inaugurated on Thursday afternoon through a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, a special prayer session, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The event marks another milestone in fulfilling the dream of the university’s Founder Chairman, the late Freedom Fighter Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto. Speakers expressed heartfelt gratitude for this progress, offered prayers for the eternal peace of the founder’s soul, and voiced optimism that the remaining construction work would be completed soon.

“This new phase stands as a testament to our founder’s enduring vision – a center of excellence dedicated to creativity, innovation, and ethical education,” said Professor Dr. Md. Shah-E-Alam, Vice-Chancellor of Shanto-Mariam University, who presided over the ceremony, reports a press release.

The newly inaugurated section includes the Swing Lab and Display Center for AMMT, a Computer Lab, a Fine Arts Painting Lab, and a Cafeteria, among other facilities that will serve students and faculty across various programs.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the university’s Uttara campus and was graced by Professor Mostafizul Haque, eminent artist and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, as the Chief Guest.
