For the past few months, Shakib Khan’s upcoming film Soldier has been creating quite a buzz in Dhallywood.
In the first-look trailer of Soldier, Shakib appears in a completely new avatar. This time, he is not just a superstar—he seems to embody the spirit of the common man.
The 33-second trailer opens with the ticking of a clock and a glimpse of the Bangladeshi flag, over which a helicopter flies by. After a series of action-packed shots, Shakib Khan appears with a single powerful dialogue: “Is the country for you, or are you for the country?” From the look of it, the story revolves around a soldier’s life.
Expressing his excitement about the role, Shakib Khan said, “I don’t want to say prematurely that audiences will see me in a completely different form. But I can say this much—I’ve never worked on a story like this before. This film will make viewers think, inspire them, and help them discover the soldier within themselves.”
According to the film’s director, Sakib Fahad, Soldier is not just a story about war or patriotism. It portrays the young generation—those who speak out against injustice, stand for what is right, and dream of doing something meaningful for their country.
