I plan to start working on films in two to three years: Palash

ZiaulHaquePalash has been working in the entertainment industry for 13 years. He started as an assistant and later worked in both acting and directing. He has acted in around 80 plays, including single-episode and serial dramas, and has also made his mark on OTT platforms.

The first season of Bachelor Point, which portrays the ups and downs of urban life-laughter and tears, love, friendship, and mischief-aired in 2018. The show is now in its fifth season. Palash gained popularity through this series, and people now mostly recognize him as the character Kabila. He said, “Despite having so many YouTube channels, so much television, and so much content in Bangladesh, people still remember a piece of content separately. Not just mine-every character sticks in people’s minds.” Palash did not initially plan to pursue acting. He got involved while working as an assistant director.

At the time, he was assisting RomelIshtiak Ahmed. In 2015, while working on the serial Karsaji, Romel gave him a small opportunity to act. Later, he began working as an associate director with KajolArefin Amir and made a short film in which he also acted. The film, which had no finalized title, was never released. Acting in Bachelor Point later brought him into the spotlight. Palash said, “A director must understand acting. You need to guide actors in their performance. I had a certain habit of acting, and Ami Bhai brought that out to the audience. He accelerated my journey into acting.”
Palash balanced his studies with his work as an assistant director. After completing SSC and HSC, he graduated and obtained a master’s degree in Finance and Banking from Titumir College. As a director, he first made a short film, which has yet to be released. In 2018, he directed his first drama, Friends With Benefit, followed by another 10-15 dramas. Palash dreams of making films in the future and has stated that he wants to begin working on his first movie within the next two to three years.
