After eight years of existence, Balam left the Warfaze band in 2007.
He focused on his solo career. Warfaze will complete 40 years in 2024.
The band is currently on a musical tour in Canada to mark its four-decade anniversary.
There, Balam, the band’s former vocalist and guitarist, was seen on the same stage with Warfaze.
On the occasion of the four-decade anniversary, Warfaze’s head Sheikh Monirul Alam Tipu said that in addition to concerts in various places across the country throughout the year, they have plans to hold concerts in several countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, and India.
He also mentioned the possibility of old members joining those concerts. Warfaze went on a tour to Canada in September as planned.
They performed in Toronto on September 26. Old member of the band,
Balam sang with the band there.
Balam shared several photos from the concert on social media. He wrote in the caption, “I am so honoured and happy to be a part of Warfaze’s four-decade anniversary concert in Toronto.
Greetings to the audience who came to the concert. I would also like to thank those who organised this concert and made it possible.”
Regarding performing with Warfaze after a long time, Balam said, “I have had the opportunity to perform solo many times in Canada before. But this event is very special to me because here is a participation with Warfaze.
I have been with Warfaze for a long time. After so many years, I performed on the same stage with Warfaze again. All in all, it is a great feeling.”
Balam’s journey with Warfaze began in 1999. He spent eight years with the group. The album ‘Alo’ released in 2000 had three songs sung by Balam – ‘Joto Dure’, ‘Somoy’ and ‘Nei Tumi’.
Then, all the songs on the album ‘Maharaj’ released in 2003 were sung by Balam.
The songs ‘Maharaj’, ‘Hariye Tumi’, ‘Cyclone’ and ‘Bosonto’ from this album brought Balam a different identity. Balam had a relationship with Warfaze even before they officially joined. Balam is a relative of Warfaze band founding member Babna Karim.
