The 29th death anniversary of the founder president of Saghata Upazila BNP and former MP, the late Matiur Rahman Tuku, was observed in Gaibandha’s Saghata Upazila. On this occasion, a special prayer (Munajat) and a communal feast (Kangali Bhoj) were held at the late leader’s residence in Bonarpara, Purbo Shimultair, Matiar Para.
The event was attended by Haji Mohammad Ali, convener of Saghata Upazila BNP; former president of the Upazila BNP and former nominee of Saghata-Fulchhari constituency, Alhaj Abdullah Akand; Nazemul Islam Pradhan Noyon, a prospective advisor of Gaibandha District BNP; joint conveners of Upazila BNP, Motlobur Rahman Reza and Alauddin Mondal.
The special prayer was led by Maulana Mohammad Abul Muttalib, the Imam of the Central Jame Mosque of Saghata Upazila.
