Prolific batter Litton Das of Bangladesh has been ruled out from Bangladesh T20I Cricket squad after getting injury when he was taking part against Afghanistan in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup. He could not recover from injury.
Thus, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has recalled Soumya Sarkar for the upcoming three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Afghanistan.
Promising wicketkeeper-batter Jaker Ali Anik will lead Bangladesh Cricket squad as the skipper instead of Litton Das.
Though Bangladesh finished their Asia Cup campaign after reaching ‘Super Four’ but Bangladesh Cricket squad will not return home as the Afghanistan series is knocking at the door.
Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the first T20I at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates on October 2, the Tigers will face Afghanistan in the second T20I at the same venue on October 3, Bangladesh will meet Afghanistan in the third T20I at the same venue on October 5.
Bangladesh will play in the first ODI against Afghanistan at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi of the UAE on October 8, the Tigers will meet Afghanistan in the second ODI at the same venue on October 11, Bangladesh will face off Afghanistan in the third ODI at the same venue on October 14.
