Sylhet Bureau :
Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Md. Sarwar Alam proved the importance of building a clean Sylhet city not only through words but also through actions.
On Saturday (September 27) morning, he took up the task of cleaning the city with a broom.
He did not just give instructions, but also cleaned the dirt with his own hands and told everyone, “This city belongs to all of us, cleanliness should start with ourselves.”
With the cooperation of the Waste Management Department of Sylhet City Corporation, the area from in front of the Circuit House to Jalalabad Park and Queen Bridge was cleaned in the morning.
During this time, the Deputy Commissioner himself led the cleaning campaign with a broom. Other officials of the district administration and members of the social organization Clean BD were present.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarwar Alam said, “It is the responsibility of all of us to build a clean and beautiful Sylhet.
Hooker-free, garbage-free, beautiful roads and bridges will be the pride of our city. If the people of the city change their small habits and keep their places clean, the city will also be naturally clean.”
