Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIBPLC) organized its “Annual Risk Management Conference-2025” on Saturday, through a hybrid platform.
The conference was presided over by Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of the Bank, while A.N.M. Moinul Kabir, Director of the Department of Off-Site Supervision at Bangladesh Bank, attended as the chief guest.
Mohammed Younus, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and member of the Risk Management Committee (RMC), and Md. Reazul Karim, Independent Director of the Bank, attended as special guests, according to a media release.
From Bangladesh Bank, Mahmuda Haque, Joint Director, and Robin Chandra Paul, Deputy Director of the Department of Off-Site Supervision, also participated in the discussion.
Speakers at the conference discussed the Bank’s overall risk profile, risk management framework, assessment of risk practices, investment risk management, money laundering risks, core risk areas, and upcoming challenges in the banking sector.
Among others, Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Additional Managing Director, and M. M. Saiful Islam, Deputy Managing Director & CRO of the Bank, attended the event. More than 1,000 participants, including heads of divisions, executives from the corporate head office, and branch managers of 141 branches and 5 sub-branches, joined the program.
