Walton Honoured ‘Best Enterprise of the Year’

Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, one of Bangladesh’s leading electronics and technology companies, has been awarded ‘Best Enterprise of the Year’ at the 23rd Bangladesh Business Awards, jointly organized by DHL Express and The Daily Star. This is the second time Walton has received the prestigious award, having first won it in 2014, in recognition of its contribution to the national economy and transformation of the country’s electronics sector.

The award was presented to Walton Managing Director S.M. Mahbubul Alam by Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed at a gala ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka on September 23. 

Commerce Adviser S.K. Bashir Uddin, DHL Express Bangladesh Managing Director Md. Miarul Haque, and The Daily Star Editor Mahfuz Anam were also present, according to a press release.

Receiving the award, S.M. Mahbubul Alam thanked Walton’s customers, well-wishers, and investors. He said the recognition reflects the company’s vision to make Bangladesh a hub for innovative and eco-friendly smart electronics, adding that Walton’s ‘Made in Bangladesh’ products are now exported to over 50 countries worldwide.

Since 2000, the DHL-The Daily Star Bangladesh Business Awards have honoured individuals and organizations for their innovation, resilience, and vision in shaping the nation’s economy.
