Tigers face off India in Asia Cup match today

The Tigers will face off India today in their ‘Super Four’ match of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. The game will start at 8:30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite channel Nagorik TV, private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live.

Bangladesh began their ‘Super Four’ campaign with a happy note as they defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets in their first match at the same venue on September 20.
On the other hand, India started their ‘Super Four’ campaign with a good start as they beat their arch-rivals Pakistan by six wickets at the same venue on September 21.

Meanwhile, Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Litton Das got injury during the practice session at the ground. Team Management of Bangladesh Cricket team is hopeful that he will play in Wednesday’s match against India. On the other hand, Captain of India Cricket team Suryakumar Yadav will lead his team in today’s match.

Spinner Mahedi Hasan said, ” We don’t think that our opponent will be either India or Australia.”
Mahedi Hasan spoke to the Bangladeshi journalists during their practice session at the ground. Mahedi said, ” We are prepared to play a match. We don’t think our opponent team.”
Mahedi highly praised the performance of his teammate left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman.
He said, ” Mustafiz has experience. His deliveries are outstanding. He has the capacity to cross not only Shakib Al Hasan but also other bowlers of the participating teams of the world. I think he can capture more wickets in T20I to cross the other world class bowlers.”
He said, ” Most of our teammates have performed well. If they carry that thing, we can get a good result.”
