Chattagram Bureau :
A special meeting was held with the Imams/Khatibs of the mosques of Chattagram city on Sunday under the management of Anjuman-e-Rahmaniya Ahmadiya Sunni Trust, one of the largest religious and non-political organisations in the country, at Alamgir Khanka-e-Qaderia Syediya Tayabiya in Sholashara.
It was presided over by Awlad-e-Rasul, Pir-e-Bangal, Allama Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah (M.G.A). He said, Islam means peace.
And the main center for establishing this peace is the mosque. The responsibility of the Imams-Khatibs is to continuously work to build an ideal society to implement this real purpose of Islam.
He said, the regular greeting of Muslims is Salam, and the response is Salam.
And the purpose of this is that Muslims are engaged in the practice of peace and security among themselves.
Therefore, it is not desirable for anyone to create violence and unrest in the name of Islam.
Today, there is no security for people’s lives and property in various Muslim countries of the world, and terrorism and violence are going on.
But Alhamdulillah, there is comparative security and a very peaceful situation in Bangladesh.
It is not desirable to set fire to the shrines of those who have propagated Islam in our towns today. They have benefited us during their lifetime. Therefore, it is our duty to honor them after their death.
Just as good children are dutiful to their parents after their death, Muslims who follow Ahl-e-Sunnah also honor their Pir-Auliyas even after their death.
He said that those who are currently attacking the shrines should not make Bangladesh a safe haven for terrorism like other countries; for this, he drew the attention of the government.
He instructed the Anjuman authorities to pay attention to the interests, financial solvency and social needs of the Imams and Khatibs.
And in this regard, he expressed his gratitude for the necessary cooperation of former mayor of CCC, Manjur Alam (Manju). At the same time, he announced the establishment of an Imam Academy for Imams.
Regarding Da’wat-e-Khair, he said that this is not an activity based on our court, but rather it is universal. Therefore, all Imams and Khatibs must play a role in its implementation.
The chief guest of the event was Awlad-e-Rasul, Sahibzada Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah (M.G.A). Former mayor of Chattagram City Corporation (CCC) and honored advisor of Anjuman Trust, Mohammad Manjur Alam (Manju), delivered the special guest speech.
Also present were Senior Vice President of Anjuman Trust, Mohammad Manjur Alam (Manju), Vice President Mohammad Amir Hossain Sohel, Secretary General Mohammad Anwar Hossain. Spokesperson of Anjuman Trust, Ed. Moderated by Mosaheb Uddin Bakhtiar, the Khatib Qari of Jamiatul Falah National Mosque, Abu Taleb Mohammad Alauddin, also spoke.
