United Finance honoured with Corporate Award

United Finance PLC has been recognized with the prestigious Corporate Award in Financing Category at the international conference titled “The Future of Business: Innovation, Technology and Sustainability,” hosted by the Bureau of Business Research, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Chittagong.

The award was presented by Mr. Sheikh Bashir Uddin, Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Textiles & Jute, and Civil Aviation & Tourism, Government of Bangladesh, to Mr. Mohammed Abul Ahsan, Deputy Managing Director of United Finance PLC, during the closing ceremony held in Chattogram, according to a media release. The event was graced by distinguished guests including Professor Dr. Muhammad Yeahia Akhter, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chittagong, who attended as Special Guest.

Also present as Guests of Honor were Mr. Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, Chairman of Sonali Bank PLC; Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic); and Professor Md. Kamal Uddin, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration).

The two-day conference brought together leading scholars and industry experts from Bangladesh and abroad, fostering dialogue on the future of business in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Mohammed Abul Ahsan stated: “We are deeply honored to receive this recognition. For over three decades, United Finance has remained steadfast in its mission to empower underserved customers. Our financing approach is rooted in responsibility creating employment, reducing environmental impact, and nurturing entrepreneurs to drive inclusive growth across the country.”

The event also honored Abul Khair Consumer Products Ltd, A.K. Khan & Company Ltd, BSRM Steels Limited, ISPAHANI, Dainik Purbokone, Rancon FC Properties Ltd., and Robi Axiata PLC, in recognition of their outstanding contributions, the release adds.
