BYD Sealion 6 pushes limits in BD’s first cross-country endurance drive

BYD, the world’s leading NEV manufacturer, launched its Cross Country Endurance Drive with the Sealion 6 recently. The campaign aims to showcase the PHEV’s real-world performance, pushing its estimated 1,100 km range beyond expectations.

Over the span of five days, the BYD Sealion 6 will cover an impressive 1,866.4 km across various terrains and routes in Bangladesh.

This journey will take the convoy from Dhaka to Banglabandha Zero Point and return to Dhaka, with multiple stops along the way, including a visit to Cox’s Bazar, Teknaf, and Chattogram.

The challenge will test the endurance and efficiency of the Sealion 6, demonstrating its capacity to handle long-distance driving while maintaining optimal performance, says a press release.

Shahnuma Sharmin, the Lead of Strategy & Digital at BYD Bangladesh, said, ‘Our aim with this initiative is not only to demonstrate how this vehicle can exceed expectations in real-world conditions, but also to set a new benchmark for PHEV performance in the region.’
