Dead chickens and rotten fish, which were about to be cooked, has been caught red-handed by resident students at the dining hall of Dhaka College.

The seized rotten meat and fish, along with the dining manager and cook, were later handed over to New Market Police Station.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at the South Dormitory of Dhaka College.
Resident students said, “For the past week, we have been served dead chicken meat. While eating, the meat gave off a foul smell. When we complained to the manager, he ignored it.
Instead, he mixed the dead chicken meat with good meat while cooking, so no one would notice.”
“After collecting evidence and observing for a few days, we caught them on Tuesday afternoon with dead chicken meat and rotten fish.

We demand that the college administration investigate this incident and take appropriate action against those responsible,” they said. Dining Manager Selim said, “It was my mistake. Such a mistake will never happen again.”

In this regard, South Dormitory Provost Anwar Mahmud said, “Students had lodged complaints against the dining manager several times. I had told them to observe the manager for a few days.”

“In the afternoon, the students caught him with dead chicken meat and rotten fish. After learning of the matter, I informed the police. The police will examine the fish and meat, and the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection will take legal action against them,” he said.
