Raj Ripa announces to quit film, alleging against producer

In a Facebook post recently, Raj Ripa said that she had acted in the movie ‘Mukti’ by Iftekhar Chowdhury, the director of many movies including ‘Khoj: The Search’, ‘Dehraakshi’, ‘Agni’, ‘Rajattva’.

However, the movie has been stuck for five years due to the director’s procrastination. This has wasted both Raj Ripa’s money and time.

Raj Ripa wrote on Facebook, “I will leave everyone very soon, this industry is not for stupid people like me. I have walked the path of 7 years alone. I made a decision after seeing the good and the bad. … But as a creditor, director Iftekhar Chowdhury has some accounts to settle.

The mental pain I have experienced with movie ‘Mukti’, which was my hard work for 4 years, if it were another girl in my place, she would have thought of nothing but suicide. … By showing me the dream of making me a heroine, he only arranged his own affairs, he did nothing for me.”

Regarding the Facebook post, Raj Ripa said in the media, “Iftekhar Chowdhury had assured me that through the movie Mukti, he would prove me in front of everyone and establish my career. But days and years go by, the movie is not released anymore.

I am suffering from depression about whether the movie will be released at all. Now Iftekhar Chowdhury is pressuring me, asking me to manage the movie’s sponsor. He still needs 3.5 million taka. But where will I get a sponsor!”

Raj Ripa also said, “I am very disappointed with this film industry. That is why I will quit the film. I wanted to do the film with high hopes and trusting Iftekhar Chowdhury. But he has been dishonest. I have developed hatred towards him.” Although Raj Ripa did not reveal whether she himself has invested in the film ‘Mukti’ or not, she said that she will give details about the matter at a press conference.

On the other hand, Iftekhar Chowdhury did not respond when attempts were made to contact him regarding Raj Ripa’s allegations surrounding the movie ‘Mukti’.
