Entertainment Report :

Gana Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur was seriously injured in a chase and beating by law enforcement officers in front of the Jatiya Party office in Kakrail, the capital, at around 9:30pm on August 29.

He was rushed to the hospital in a bloody state. He is currently undergoing treatment. The country’s political arena has become heated since this incident.

Not only the political circles, but also the common people and showbiz stars are strongly protesting this incident. One of them is musician Asif Akbar.

In a post on the social media platform Facebook, he expressed his anger over the country’s political culture.

In the status posted on Saturday (August 30) morning, Asif wrote, “Earlier I thought that ministers of political parties don’t take responsibility and resign, they are shameless. Now I see that those chairs are for the shameless.”

Although he did not directly mention anyone’s name in the post, many fans wrote in the comments section that Asif was essentially referring to the government’s legal advisor.

Netizens believe that this status is due to the incident in which Legal Advisor Asif Nazrul faced severe criticism on social media for his strong condemnation of the attack on Nur.

Meanwhile, Asif’s status has gone viral on social media with lightning speed. The status has received more than 1 lakh reactions in 7 hours. More than 6 thousand followers have also commented.

Incidentally, Nur was seriously injured in a chase and brickbat pelting incident in front of the Jatiya Party office in Kakrail, Dhaka, at around 9:30pm on Friday (August 29). Party leaders and activists rescued him from there in a bloody state and took him to the hospital.
