Students hold human chain for teacher’s demands

Hundreds of students from various educational institutions staged a protest rally in Borhanuddin, Bhola, forming a human chain to demand acceptance of the just demands of teachers under the MPO (Monthly Pay Order) system.

The program took place in front of Borhanuddin Police Station on Tuesday, organized under the banner of students from private educational institutions in Borhanuddin Upazila.

After forming the human chain, Md. Mohiuddin, Md. Adnan, Md. Tanzil, Hafez Md. Shafiq, Md. Mainuddin, and others addressed the students at the rally.

During the protest, the students condemned police attacks and discrimination against their teachers, saying, “We will no longer tolerate any discrimination against our teachers.

If teachers are given proper respect and facilities, the quality of education will improve.

If the teachers’ demands are delayed further, we will be compelled to organize stronger programs.”

People from various classes and professions joined the human chain to show solidarity with the students’ program.
