Indian Assistant High Commissioner T_Hangsing, posted in Sylhet, arrived in Tamabil on Tuesday afternoon for a courtesy call. At this time, business leaders and traders of Tamabil Stone Importers Group greeted him with flowers. Later, he visited Tamabil Zero Point, Immigration, Land Port, Port Area with traders. After the visit, a meeting was held in the Tamabil Stone Importers Group office hall. In the meeting, the business representatives applied for visa facilitation for traders from India. In view of the application, the traders were assured of visa issuance, and sought everyone’s cooperation to accelerate import-export trade. In the meeting, he called on both countries to work together to improve trade relations between the two countries, including facilitating Indian visas.
In the meeting, he held fruitful discussions with various stakeholders of Tamabil Land Port on import-export, trade and visa-related complications for traders. After the meeting, he visited the Tamabil Stone Importers Group office. The meeting was attended by Tamabil Stone Importers Group President Md. Shahparan, one of the members of the Board of Directors, Ilias Uddin Lipu, Omar Faruk, Abdul Mannan, Abdul Alim, Shahabuddin, Abdul Karim Russell, Shahrab Mia, Misbahul Ambia, Mafizul Islam, Ismail Hossain, Shamim Ahmed Mosharraf Hossain and other members of the importers group, local administration and business representatives.
