Bangladesh-WI 2nd ODI today

Bangladesh Cricket team will face off West Indies Cricket team in their second One Day International (ODI) match today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the capital’s Mirpur today. The match will start at 1:30pm (Bangladesh Standard time).

Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live. Captain of Tigers Mehidy Hasan Miraz will lead his side, while Captain of the Caribbeans Shai Hope will lead his out-fit.

Bangladesh led the three-match ODI series 1-0 as the Tigers thrashed Windies by 74 runs in the first ODI at the same venue on October 18. If Bangladesh win over Windies in today’s match, Bangladesh will clinch the ODI series 2-0 remaining with one match.

Before today’s game, Bangladesh played against West Indies in 48 ODI matches. Of them, the Tigers registered 22 victories, while the Caribbeans posted 24 wins and rest of the two matches ended without any result.

To mark the upcoming ODI match, players of Bangladesh Cricket squad took part in the practice session in the match-venue on Monday. They took part in the ‘Team Meeting’ after coming out from the dressing room. Then they participated warm-up session and after that they did fielding practice.

But After that they made their practice sessions different. Usually the Tigers took part in the batting and bowling practice in the indoor. But they took part at the SBNCS a different training practice.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Phil Simmons, Assistant Coach Mohammad Salahuddin and Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz had a chat before their practice sessions.

Yesterday all the batters participated batting practice in front of the centre wicket. The fielders did their fielding and the batters played the deliveries of spinners Rishad Hossain , Nasum Ahmed and Tanvir Islam.

Later, the batters took part in their batting practice in the indoor. But prime practice was held at the centre wicket of the match-venue.
