Workshop on commercial audit objections

A day-long workshop on commercial audit objections was held at Faridpur Sugar Mill in Madhukhali on Saturday, organized by Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation, with the participation of 16 mills/institutions under its jurisdiction, headquarters and audit-related officials of the Ministry of Industries.

Bikash Chandra Mitra, Director General of the Commercial Audit Department, was present as the chief guest at the workshop at the training building of the sugar mill at 8 am on Saturday, implemented by Faridpur Sugar Mill Limited.

In the workshop chaired by the Managing Director of the Sugar Mill, Mohammad Saifullah, Director of the Commercial Audit Department discussed the reasons for the collection of objections and the method of resolving the collected objections in the performance audit, Khademul Bashar, Director of the Commercial Audit Department, discussed the process of responding to objections and resolving objections through audit management and monitoring software, Afrin Jahan Rowshan, Deputy Director of the Commercial Audit Department, discussed the reasons for raising audit objections and their remedies, the need for audit resolution, Joint Secretary (Audit) of the Ministry of Industries, Md. Abdul Wahed, Director (Finance) of the Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation, discussed the steps taken to resolve the audit objections of the organization, and Md. Shafiqul Islam, Controller of Accounts of the Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation, discussed the steps to resolve audit objections related to annual accounts and budget.

BSFIC Chief Auditor Jibannahar presented power point presentations, prepared minutes and detailed information about the workshop. General Manager (Finance) of the sugar mills, Senior Assistant Secretary, 23 officers from different levels of BSFIC participated in the day-long workshop.

General Manager (Agriculture) of the sugar mill Muhammad Anis Uzzaman, General Manager (Administration) Masud Reza, General Manager (Factory) Pulak Kumar Sarkar were present at the time. The program was presented by Deputy Manager (Lab) of the sugar mill Prolay Kumar Saha.
