“Are drama shooting sets now becoming a place to earn dollars?” – this is the question raised by actor Niloy Alamgir. The actor has expressed his anger on social media over the recent leak of behind-the-scenes videos of the shooting.
In a post on his verified Facebook ID, Niloy wrote, “The producer or channel owner invests money in the drama. They try to withdraw that money from YouTube, TV or branding. The actors, director, production team, and everyone is paid.
But even then, many people try to earn dollars by posting BTS (Behind the Scenes) videos on Facebook or YouTube during shooting on the set.”
The actor questioned, “How ethical is this? Some say, we are promoting. But if we promote, it should be done with the producer’s permission. Because, the producer knows which promotion is profitable for his drama.”
Niloy claims that sometimes some members of the shooting unit secretly open a YouTube channel and upload these BTS videos. Even some assistant directors or assistant cameramen may be involved in this work.
Niloy said, “If they can’t collect BTS from the shooting set themselves, they collect BTS from the artistes’ IDs or pages and send them to their secret channels. Whatever they do, the producer is being harmed. Now if any producer takes legal action, who will be in danger?”
