HBO Max, the premier streaming platform from Warner Bros. Discovery, has officially launched in Bangladesh, marking another milestone in its global expansion that now spans over 100 markets worldwide.
The service went live on Tuesday(15 October) in 15 new territories, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Macau, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Ukraine, bringing with it a vast library of Hollywood blockbusters, award-winning series, documentaries, and family entertainment.
With its entry into Bangladesh, HBO Max promises to redefine the country’s streaming experience by offering access to globally acclaimed titles from Warner Bros.
HBO, Max Originals, the DC Universe, Discovery, and beloved franchises such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and The Matrix. Bangladeshi audiences can now stream hit series like Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The Penguin, and The Pitt, alongside blockbuster films including Superman and A Minecraft Movie.
Family-friendly favourites such as Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball are also part of the platform’s launch lineup. Iconic sitcoms like Friends and The Big Bang Theory are set to join the platform from January 2026, expanding its entertainment offerings even further.
As the home of HBO and Max Originals, the platform is also preparing to debut the much-anticipated series IT: Welcome to Derry on October 27. Set within Stephen King’s IT universe, the show is developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs.
In the months ahead, subscribers can look forward to high-profile film premieres such as Weapons, M3GAN 2.0, Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning, and How to Train Your Dragon, underscoring HBO Max’s commitment to delivering premium global entertainment.
HBO Max’s arrival brings a sophisticated streaming experience to Bangladeshi viewers, featuring multi-device compatibility and availability across major platforms, including LG and Samsung smart TVs in select markets.
Subscribers can create up to five personalized profiles, receive content recommendations based on viewing habits, and enjoy seamless navigation through the “Continue Watching” and search features.
Offline viewing is supported through download options, while families can take advantage of dedicated kids’ profiles with curated, age-appropriate content and parental controls.
In Bangladesh, HBO Max is launching with two subscription plans. The Standard Plan, priced at USD 4.99 per month or USD 34.99 annually, allows streaming on two devices simultaneously in Full HD resolution and includes up to 30 downloads for offline viewing.
The Premium Plan, available at USD 7.49 per month or USD 49.99 annually, offers streaming on four devices at once with 4K Ultra HD video quality and Dolby Atmos sound (where available), along with up to 100 downloads.
