Chattogram beat Dhaka

Chattogram Division beat Dhaka Division by five wickets, according to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) Method in their match of the NCL T20 at the Sylhet Academy Ground on Tuesday.

Chasing Dhaka Division’s total of 119 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 13 overs (seven overs were curtailed due to rain), Chattogram Division coasted home making 123 for the loss of five wickets when they had just four balls to spare, Yasir Ali of Chattogram Division remained unbeaten with 53. His 27-ball innings was studded with three sixes and four fours. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding innings.

Irfan Sukkur hit 30. His 15-ball knock was laced with three sixes. Mahfuzur Rabbi of Dhaka Division grabbed three wickets in the space of 11 runs, while Ripon Mondol bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 13 runs.

Earlier, Mosaddek Hossain remained unbeaten with 32 runs. His 27-ball innings laced with four fours and a sixer. Ariful Islam made 23 from 13 deliveries featuring two fours and two sixes.
Jishan Alam scored 21 from seven balls including three fours and a sixer. Ashraful Hasan, Nayeem Hasan and Ahmed Sharif took one wicket each for 17, 18 and 29 runs respectively.

In the day’s other match at the same venue, Khulna Division earned a narrow 11-run win over Sylhet Division, according to the DLS Method.

Opted to bat first, Sylhet Division piled up a fighting total of 136 for the loss of six wickets in the 16 overs (four overs were curtailed due to rain).
Later, Khulna Division reached the winning spot after making 103 for the loss of four wickets in 11 overs (revised target for victory).

Khalid Hasan of Sylhet hit 31. His 23-ball innings had four fours and a six.
Besides, Amite Hasan, Asadulla Al Galib and Khaled Ahmed contributed 27, 26 and 26 runs to the Sylhet total.

Parvez Rahman Jibon captured four wickets giving 16 runs, while Ziaur Rahman picked up one wicket conceding 22 runs. Anamul Haque Bijoy of Khulna Division remained unbeaten with 33 runs. He hit three fours and two sixes in his 19-ball knock.

Opener Imranuzzaman hit 31 using 22 deliveries with four fours and a sixer.
Soumya Sarkar made 24 from 12 balls including four fours and a sixer.
Naim Hossain and Nabil Samad grabbed two wickets each instead of 25 and 26 runs respectively.
