The four-day long Seerat exhibition, a significant event dedicated to exploring the life, teachings, and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), will end on Saturday.
People of all ages and backgrounds have been attending the event organised Masjid-ut Taqwa Society in the city’s Dhanmondi area to deepen their understanding of the Prophet’s exemplary life and impact on humanity.
One of the key highlights of the exhibition is the Seerat book fair, which features an extensive display of books relating to the biography and sayings of the Prophet.
This allows visitors to explore authentic Islamic traditions, heritage that sheds light on the Prophet’s life and teachings. Complementing the literary offerings is a special exhibition on the foods of the Prophet’s era, giving a unique cultural and historical perspective.
Addressing as chief guest, Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin urged the youth to follow the exemplary life philosophy of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
“The life led by the World Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), serves as an incomparable ideal for humankind,” he said while speaking at the inauguration of the Seerat Event 2025.
Addressing the event, Bashir noted that although the Prophet (PBUH) was the greatest man in the world, his life was extremely simple.
The Commerce Adviser praised the initiative of the Masjid-Ut-Taqwa Society to showcase the Prophet’s (PBUH) life, describing it as a shining example for others to follow.
He also lauded the coordinated efforts being made to groom the new generation by instilling morality, honesty, and humanity. He urged young attendees to study the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography and practically implement his teachings in their daily lives.
The exhibition also features a detailed replicated representation of the holy city of Madinah, which helps attendees visualise the environment in which the Prophet lived. This is accompanied by various project displays and an innovative animation show that brings the Seerat stories vividly to life for audiences, particularly younger visitors.
