A total of eight teams are taking part in the World Cup, the most prestigious cricket meet for women of the whole world.

Top four teams will get the tickets of the semi-finals. The winning teams of the semi-finals will face each other in the final. The final will be held on November 2.

Before today’s match, Bangladesh women and Pakistan women faced each other in 13 ODI matches. Of them, Bangladesh registered five victories, while Pakistan won in the eight occasions.

Captain of Bangladesh Women’s Cricket squad Nigar Sultana Joty said, “I was walking around the balcony at the hotel because I knew there were a lot of things I could have done for the team that I didn’t do. I was in good touch (at the Qualifier) but I didn’t make runs in the Pakistan game.

I got the first call from Fatima Sana and a few players that were there (in the Pakistan room). Whenever I play against her I don’t feel like she’s my friend, she’s my opponent, but we have fun after we finish the game.”

Captain of Pakistan Women’s Cricket squad Fatima Sana said, “We have a lot of rivalry matches, but she’s my good friend, we have a good connection off the field.

Because I was one of the younger ones , she would always sit with me and eat food, go outside together. We had a really good time. She’s my good friend.

A lot of the time she asks about batting because she’s a batter and I want to become a good all-rounder, so she gives me a lot of tips. She gives me confidence in my batting.”
