“All communities must unite to uphold rule of law”

On September 28, at the initiative of the Chattagram Lawyers’ Association, clothes were distributed among the employees of the association, orphans, the needy and the poor as usual at the Lawyers’ Auditorium.

Chattagram City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain was present as the chief guest at the clothes distribution ceremony.

Senior lawyers delivered welcome speeches at the clothes distribution ceremony under the chairmanship of Advocate Madhusudan Das, the newly elected president of the Lawyer’s Association, and under the management of Advocate Shipon Kumar Dey, the newly elected general secretary.

In his speech Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, we all have to move forward by upholding the non-communal spirit. People of all communities must work together to establish the rule of law.

People of all communities have legal rights. Lawyers have an important role to play in this regard.

Advocate Anjan Prasad recited from the Gita at the beginning of the ceremony. One minute’s silence was observed in memory of martyred advocate Saiful Islam Alif and all members of Bijoya who have already passed away.
