I will complete the unfinished films: Poppy

Rudra Mahfuz :

Sadika Parvin Poppy was once a popular actress in Dhallywood, admired by the audience of Bangladeshi cinema. However, she suddenly distanced herself from acting.

After living in seclusion for five years, Poppy suddenly appeared in public last February. It was then revealed that she got married, is now a homemaker, and a mother of a son.

But due to family disputes, she went back into hiding shortly after. The latest news is that the actress is preparing to return to cinema.

Poppy said, ‘I will return to films. However, I am completely certain that I will not act in any new films. I still have some unfinished films, and I will complete those. After that, I will remain connected to cinema in my own way.’

When asked how she plans to return, Poppy replied, ‘I will produce films. That is the decision I have made. Producing films is not something new to me, as I have done it before.

I feel that being involved in films with good stories gives me the most satisfaction.’

She said, ‘Throughout my long acting career, I have gained many experiences. I know the ins and outs of the film industry very well. I believe if I produce now, I will do better.

That’s why I made this decision. From the beginning of my acting career, I had a stronger interest in production.

Apart from ‘Kidnap’, I also produced ‘Jibon Manei Juddho’ and two other films. So, when I return to cinema, my intention is to come back as a producer.’
