Habib’s ‘Jadu’ with Tajikistan’s Mehrnigor

Coke Studio Bangla is back in rhythm. After being closed for more than a year, the third season of Coke Studio Bangla has started again with Hashim Mahmud’s song ‘Baji’.

Then, ‘Long Distance Love’ sung by Ankan Kumar and Sheikh Mumtahina Mehjabin was released.

This time, musician Habib Wahid is coming to Coke Studio. The song is titled ‘Jadu’.

Tajikistan’s singer Mehrnigor Rustam will sing a part with Habib. The song has been released on Coke Studio Bangla YouTube channel yesterday.

On Tuesday night, a post on Coke Studio Bangla’s Facebook page said, “The magic of music continues this season. Who will come with magic next?”

Fans were excited by this announcement. However, Coke Studio has not officially revealed the name of the artiste.

A source from Coke Studio Bangla informed that the song titled ‘Jadu’ has been sung by Habib Wahid.

The lyrics and tune of the song, which says ‘Lagaiya Piriter Doori, Alga Thaki Tanere, Aamar Bondhu Moha Jadu Jaane’, are by Baul Shah Khwaja Mia. Many artistes have sung this popular song before.

This time, the magic of Baul Shah Khwaja Mia’s lyrics and tune can be heard on the Coke Studio Bangla platform.

Habib, in addition to giving the vocals, has also arranged the music for the song.

It is learned that a part of the ‘Jadu’ song was composed in French.

That part was sung by Mehrnigor Rustam of Tajikistan. ‘Jadu’ is the sixth song of the third season of Coke Studio Bangla.

After the success of two consecutive seasons, the first song of the third season, ‘Tanti’, was released on the occasion of Pahela Boishakh in 2024.
The second song, ‘Ma Lo Ma’, was released on May 3 of that year.

Then, after the release of ‘Obak Bhalobasha’ by Warfaze band on May 25, the activities of the third season of Coke Studio Bangla came to a halt.
