Wall erected blocking road in front of his house

Khulna Bureau :

A person has blocked the only road for the sick freedom fighter family, disobeying court orders. Locals are shocked by such inhuman and arrogant actions in Chhota Mirzapur 2nd lane of Khulna city.

Locals said that the family has been using this road for many years and if it is closed, their daily life and communication will be disrupted.

Locals also said that freedom fighter Md. Abu Hanif used to work in the District Commissioner’s office. Now he is sick. And taking this opportunity, his next-door neighbor Sanjay Kumar Agarwal has taken the initiative to close this long-used road, claiming it as his property.

For 22 years, everyone in the area has been using this road, it is one of the most important means of communication in the life of that family.

Suddenly, our movement is being hindered by the attempt to close the road, which is a kind of violation of rights.

As a result, the people of the entire area, along with the freedom fighter’s family, are facing serious problems in transportation.

A case is pending in the Additional District Judge’s Court (2nd) Khulna in this regard. No. Miss Appeal 85/13. In the case, the learned trial court has ordered both parties to maintain the status quo through an injunction.

However, in defiance of the court’s injunction, local Sanjay Kumar Agarwal has again closed the road and started constructing a concrete wall there, which is creating obstacles for the movement of locals.

Freedom fighter Md. Abu Hanif’s son Md. Nazmul Hasan has filed a written complaint with the Khulna Deputy Commissioner on September 11 regarding the incident. In the complaint, he has requested the administration to provide a fair and effective solution.

Brave freedom fighter Md. Abu Hanif said, we have already approached the local administration and have applied for an on-site investigation and necessary legal action. We expect justice to be established.

In this regard, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said, this is my purchased land. Their path was over my land. Now I have blocked it. The court had a status quo. But others will file cases on my land and I will sit quietly.
Local residents have expressed deep concern over the incident.

They say that if this road is closed, it will directly affect not only that family but also our livelihood. It will become difficult to travel to schools, hospitals, markets and other essential places. We want a humane and just solution to this issue.

It is being mentioned that the local administration and law enforcement agencies should take immediate action in this regard so that the fair rights and peace of the locals are protected. The locals also hope that they do not lose their right to move and that this long-standing crisis is resolved quickly.
