Entertainment Report :
Although he does not use social media, noted film actor Alamgir has several fake accounts and fan groups in his name. His daughter, musician Aankhi Alamgir, has warned about these IDs and groups created using Alamgir’s picture and name.
A Facebook page called Nayak Alamgir Fans Club has about 650,000 followers. However, Ankhi said that actor Alamgir has no connection with this page.
She wrote on Facebook, “Stop this. I don’t know who you are running the fan club, but from now on, please understand whose name you are running it under and make posts. If you can’t understand his greatness, please don’t run a fan page in his name.”
Regarding this issue, Aankhi Alamgir said that film star Alamgir does not use Facebook. He has no connection with such fake IDs and pages.
Aankhi Alamgir said, “If they create something like a fan club about my father, then it should be limited to him only.
On these pages, it can be seen that they are giving pictures of everyone, sharing a lot of information. Some are wrong, some are right.
This is a very objectionable matter for our family. As a daughter, it is my responsibility to clear the matter. Because people of their stature will not talk about it. If something objectionable comes on my father’s fan page, or someone else objects-this is not a matter of honour for us.
A lot of things are posted from these IDs and pages, sometimes I am also tagged. In my opinion, some legends should be kept free from these. My father, Shabana Aunty, Babita Aunty have worked for many years. They do not need any more publicity. They are above publicity.”
