You shouldn’t give away everything: Popy

Once popular Dhallywood actress Sadika Parvin Popy has been away from the silver screen for a long time and she had also kept herself away from the media for personal reasons.

The National Film Award-winning actress was not seen at any event. After a long hiatus, Popy came in front of her fans through a video message in the 2022 Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association’s elections. At that time, she only said – “I will return if I have the luck.”

After a long break, the actress came out in public again in February this year with her husband and child.

According to the incident, the news of her marriage and child came to light after a GD was filed at the police station due to a family dispute.
Currently, Popy is spending a busy time with her family and children. September 10 was her birthday.

The actress said, “When I worked regularly in films, birthdays were like festivals. People would come all day long, fans would call, and some would send cakes and flowers to my house. Sometimes I celebrated my birthday on the shooting set. Popy fan clubs also organised various events across the country.”

Referring to the harsh realities of life, Popy said, “I have faced reality while fulfilling my responsibilities for my family. So, I have no hesitation in saying that one should not give everything away for everyone without strengthening one’s own foundation.”

Popy said, “Because later, no one can point a finger at me. Once I thought everyone was mine. Later, I saw that no one was mine anymore.

During that difficult time, people from the industry and my husband Adnan were by my side. Popy said that the path became easier with his support. It’s not possible to say much now. I’m not acting right now; I’m busy with my family.”

It is worth noting that Popy’s upcoming film ‘Direct Action’ is going to be released soon.

Apart from this, it is known that the work of Popy’s film ‘Kathgoray Sarat Chandra’ will resume.

However, it is not yet certain whether the actress will return to acting.
