KCC announces Tk 719cr budget

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) has announced a budget of Tk 719 crore 50 lakh 36 thousand for the fiscal year 2025-2026. Divisional Commissioner and KCC Administrator Md. Firoz Sarkar announced the budget at the Shahid Altaf Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban on Thursday.

In the proposed budget, the potential income of the revenue fund has been estimated (including balance) at Tk 455 crore 93 lakh 73 thousand. Similarly, the government grant (in the second part) has been estimated at Tk 130 crore 28 lakh.

Tk 133 crore 28 lakh 63 thousand has been allocated for the development fund special project. Revenue expenditure has been estimated at Tk 277 crore 65 lakh 77 thousand.

The budget target for the last fiscal year 2024-25 was Tk 981 crore 99 lakh 78 thousand. In the revised budget, its size has stood at 618 crore 25 lakh seven thousand taka. The target achievement rate is 62.96 percent.

While announcing the budget, the administrator said that no new taxes have been imposed in the budget this time either.
