bKash, BD police jointly organise workshops on prevention of MFS abuse

To ensure the security of the reliable and essential Mobile Financial Service (MFS) and combat its misuse in criminal activities, Mymensingh and Bandarban district police, jointly with bKash, have organised two separate training workshops recently.

A total of 130 investigating officers from Mymensingh & Bandarban district police have participated in these day-long workshops titled “Investigation and Prevention of Misuse of Mobile Financial Services”.

The events took place at the police lines drill sheds of each district. Mymensingh’s Superintendent of Police, Kazi Akhtar Ul Alam, and Bandarban’s Superintendent of Police, Md. Shahidullah Kowsar, PPM (Bar), graced respective workshops as chief guests. Major AKM Monirul Karim (retd), EVP & HoD, External Affairs of bKash has also joined both the workshops, says a press release.

These workshops discussed in detail how to use the information to identify the criminal gangs and bring them to justice. The workshops cover topics such as how investigating officers can use advent technology to track down lost money of the customers; prevent criminal activities like kidnapping through digital transaction monitoring; and how to easily communicate with bKash officials for investigation purposes. In addition, the workshops shed light on what immediate steps can be taken when a criminal incident occurs.
