Youth’s body recovered in Gafargaon

The body of Jasim, who went missing after jumping into the river after seeing the police in Gafargaon, Mymensingh, has been recovered.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon in the Mukhi Bridge Ghat area of Mosakhali Union of Pagla Police Station of the upazila.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Service diving team went to the spot on Saturday afternoon and started a rescue operation, but suspended it as it was dusk.

The Fire Service diving team has been searching for the missing youth since Sunday morning. Later, around 2:30 pm, the body of the missing Jasim Morl was found floating in the Mukhi Bridge Ghat area and the body was recovered with the help of locals.

Police said that on Saturday afternoon, an investigation was conducted at the Sutradhar house on the banks of the Mukhi Bridge Ghat river.

At that time, three youths named Jasim, Fahim and Sohel from the nearby Hindu community monastery jumped into the Sutia river in front.
